Welcome to the northern end of California's gold country. This is Nevada County, also known as the Grass Valley Air Park. Home to a Cal-Fire base, and the former flying home of General Chuck Yeager, this is a great place to explore the region between Lake Tahoe, Sacramento, and Oroville. With a 4650-foot runway, there's plenty of room here, but watch out for density altitude on hot summer days (and downdrafts too)!
