MSFS2024Downscaler

MSFS Downscaler is a utility for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 that batch-optimizes high-resolution textures in add-on folders to reduce VRAM usage and improve performance. It supports both KTX2 and DDS file formats, enabling users to resize textures to 4K, 2K, or 1K while preserving original folder structures and associated metadata files. The tool requires MSFS 2024 SDK, Microsoft DirectXTex, and NVIDIA Texture Tools, and it does not support Windows 10. After processing DDS files, manual updates to layout.json are needed for simulator compatibility.
