BWIA British West Indies - 9Y-THR - McDonnell-Douglas MD83

The BWIA British West Indies add-on features the McDonnell-Douglas MD83 aircraft, registered as 9Y-THR, which was delivered to BWIA in 1987 as part of their fleet renewal strategy. The aircraft primarily operated inter-Caribbean and longer haul routes until its eventual sale in 1996. Notably, it experienced a significant incident in 1993, but returned safely to service. After various ownership changes, 9Y-THR was ultimately retired in the early 2000s.
