About 62 km (33 nm) southwest of Bella Coola is a relatively narrow and short gravel runway called Helen's Fright on a ridge. Due to the short runway and the numerous trees around it, only experienced bush pilots should approach Helen's Fright. Choose your aircraft wisely and pay attention to wind strength and direction.
