During production MAZ-5440 has undergone many improvements to achieve competitiveness in the European market. The latest modification MAZ-5440M9, released in 2014, complies with the Euro-6 standard, and the cab design is made in the style of Volvo FH or Mercedes-Benz Actros. The mod of MAZ-5340/5440/6430 A8 trucks for Euro Truck Simulator 2 has in its arsenal three types of chassis with a 4×2 wheel arrangement for versions with an awning and 6×4 for a tractor.
