The wait is over! After several months of development, Reforma Baja Beta 5 is now available for ATS 1.61. 🚛 This is one of the biggest updates we’ve made for the Baja project and represents a significant step towards our goal of recreating the Baja California Peninsula, bringing the project to La Paz, Baja California Sur. 🛣️ TRAVEL BAJA CALIFORNIA TO LA PAZ! With Baja Beta 5, you can continue your journey south and discover new roads, towns, and landscapes in Baja California Sur. This update includes new areas and content throughout the peninsula, continuing the work previously done in places like Guerrero Negro and Punta Abreojos, and extending the experience to new regions of the state. Among the new places and areas you can discover are: 🌊 Loreto ⛪ San Javier 🌵 Ciudad Insurgentes 🏜️ New communities and rural areas 🛣️ New sections of Federal Highway 1 🌴 Oasis, deserts, mountains, and coastal landscapes in Baja California Sur 🌊 NEW VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS WITH ATS 1.61 Baja Beta 5 also takes advantage of some of the new features available with ATS 1.61, including the new transparent water system, used in different areas to achieve coasts and bodies of water with a much more natural and realistic appearance. Roads and surfaces have been revised to improve the circulation of vehicles of lower height, as well as adapting different gas stations, hotels, and rest areas for future use with cars. Integration and compatibility with Road Trip will continue to improve as we can work and study more deeply the new features introduced by SCS. 🗺️ A PROJECT BASED ON REAL BAJA A very important part of this project has been trying to capture the feeling of really traveling through the Baja Peninsula. In September 2025, I had the opportunity to personally tour the peninsula, collecting references and getting to know firsthand many of the roads, landscapes, communities, and places that would later serve as inspiration for this project. From the vast desert expanses to the mountains, oases, and ocean views, Baja Beta 5 seeks to bring part of that experience to American Truck Simulator. Navigator DLC Car Add-on v1.61 for ATS
The built‑in navigator in SCS passenger cars gets a visual boost. A fresh speed‑limit icon now pops up when you hit a restricted zone, and a tiny cruise‑control indicator lets you see at a glance whether it’s engaged. The screen also shows an ETA and a countdown of how long you have before the driver’s “bedtime” timer kicks in. Flip between these panels with the key you’ve bound to Infotainment Display Mode. This update works with the Ford Bronco (24‑series) and Ford F‑150 (23‑series).
